Joan attended the Art Institute of Chicago and has studied art in Connecticut, Florida, Michigan, and Wisconsin. She is a member of Cape Coral Art League, Bonita Art League and Alliance of Ft. Myers
Recently attended painting classes at Cape Coral Art Studio with Dane Anthony, Gale Bennett, Lucy Macherowski, Betty Wedeles, at Cape Coral Art League and Marco Bronzini, Naples, FL.
Classes in the Chicago area included Scott Powers, Pallet and Chisel, Keri Ippolito, Elk Grove, IL, Thia Malenchik, Elk Grove, IL, and "The Studio" in Mt. Prospect, with a popular, top-ranking, respected teacher, Dorothy Schildknecht and Ted Smuskiewicz also participated in Tom Trausch's "in plein air" classes in Galena and Starved Rock. Tom Trausch, the instructor, is a renowned Woodstock artist who is listed in Who's Who in American Art.
As a past web designer and CEO of First Impression Presentations, a company that created graphic presentations for inventors, Joan has received outstanding reviews from her customers for the creativity and presentation design. Her work is highly recommended by Jack Carik, Chairman of Inventor Services.
Recently participated in two Bonita's Juried Art Exhibitions, Bonita, FL and Alliance's All Florida Juried Exhibition, Ft. Myers, FL. Private commissions are invited, and Joan welcomes an opportunity to donate artwork to local charities and nonprofit organizations. Her artwork is exhibited in business offices and prestigious homes in many states including Chicago and the Naples, FL.
