 Joan Marie Arnold, 63, died Jan. 29, 2008Joan Arnold ABOUT THE ARTIST Joan Arnold was born in the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts. She and her husband Doug moved to Vero Beach, FL in 1974. She began her painting career in the early 1980's. She started painting in acrylics with nationally known artist Brenda Harris. Joan also learned oils, and has been certified to teach both mediums. Her education also included thousands of hours of pratice in addition to many workshops, art conferences and seminars. She studied with Jackie Schindehetti, and was also influenced by Highwayman, George Buckner, and wildlife artist Fred Wetzel, and many others. Joan designs her compositions from her photos and also from her vivid imagination. As a youngster she learned how to observe the natural beauty that surrounds her. That explains her abilty to capture the details of Florida landscapes, beautiful native birds, and wildlife. Joan is a member of the Vero Beach Art Club, Sebastian River Art Club, and TEAM (Teachers and Educators of Art Materials). Her paintings are displayed in local fine art galleries, and in homes in the United States and overseas. Joan Marie Arnold, 63, died Jan. 29, 2008
