Born in Brooklyn, New York on February 6, 1939. Studied at the Phoenix school of Design and then at the Art Students League in Manhattan under Frank J Reilly.
He was an illustratrator for a New York studio for twelve years and has been freelancing ever since. Involved in western art for bookcovers including Zane Grey and his son, Romer. In Advertising art, he is known for the Kool-Aid pitchers with the smiling faces.
His portrait subjects inlcude two paintings of the former Grand Master of the Masonic Lodge, eastern division, which is on display in the Manhattan Grand Lodge and one in Utica New York.
